You are eager to begin working at home filling out surveys. Here are some preliminary recommendations for you to make this work easier:

Making real money at the survey business, means joining lots of different survey sites. And once you have registered with all these companies, you will start getting LOTS of email invitations. You don't want to overlook any of these emails. You will need to keep track of these invitations, but you get plenty of email already. How can you easily recognize email coming from a survey site?

1) Set-up a Dedicated Email Address Exclusively for Surveys

This unique email address is the one that companies will use to contact you when there is a survey available. Being a special address, your survey-related email will be easy to seperate from your other email. Now you won't miss any important survey opportunities. You can also set up a filter so that this survey email address appears in your inbox in a different color from other email you receive. Note: This should be an email address that you check often.


I use the word "survey" as part of my dedicated email address when registering with survey sites. Use something easy for you to identify the purpose of the email.

Your Internet Service Provider should be able to provide you with an additional email address - usually at no cost. Or you can also set-up a free email address at such sites as Yahoo or at Bigfoot.com.


2) Create a Survey Folder in Your Bookmarks file.

As you join different research companies, bookmark their websites into a special folder in the Bookmark file. This will make it easier to keep track of the survey sites you have joined. Don't forget to Bookmark surverycash.com into this "survey" folder.

I created a Folder entitled "Surveys Joined" in my Bookmarks section.

3) Joining Survey Sites Through Surverycash.com.

The survey companies are listed alphabetically in the database. Click on a company name and a new window will appear, taking you to the individual survey companies. Sometimes you will go directly to the registration page. Sometimes, the links take you to a survey site "Home" page. To join through the "Home" pages look for the Words: Join, Become a Member, Join our Panel and similar phrases.

4) Registering at Survey Sites

Registering with an individual survey company is easy. Generally, you will fill out a registration form with the following information: an email address, a user ID and password, your name, address, age and other general information. Sometimes you are asked to fill out additional profile information. These profiles help the survey site to match you with relevant surveys.

This is necessary work, although repetitive. Stick with it, you will only have to fill in this information once with each survey site.

There are abbreviation software tools that I use to make this task go faster. One abbreviation program for Window users is AsUTypeIt which can be found at http://www.asutype.com/. An abbreviation tool for Macintosh users called TypeIt4Me and can be found at http://www.typeit4me.com/.

These abbreviation tools work like this: I type the abbreviation "suc", for example, and the computer types out: "http://www.surverycash.com/" Neat!

Note: AsUTypeIt and TypeIt4Me are not necessary to fill out surveys. I have no affiliation with the sites, but I have found them useful in my survey work as well as other computer tasks.

5) Log-in and start registering with companies.

Here is a list of survey sites that I recommend you start with. These companies are very representative of all the companies in the database and I have received checks from all of them.

Once you have gone through this list, go back to the database and join the rest of the survey sites. Joining sites can take a couple of weeks. It is important to join all the sites, to maximize your earning potential.

6) Additional Comments

Now that you're all set-up and ready to go, I want to give you one last overview of the Survey-Taking Business you are about to embark on.

The Survey-Taking Business is not a "get rich quick" scheme, but a business that can be worked on part-time even as you do other work online. Work diligently and over time, you can build up an increasing stream of revenue. By taking surveys, you can earn cash, prizes such as gift cards and free products. Plenty of people make hundreds of dollars per month using very little time.

This is a business that you can operate for years to come. I believe, I will have a lifetime of income from giving out my honest opinions.

Your success with paid surveys will primarily depend on:

A. The number of market research companies that you register with - register with every site in the database. More sites, more invitations, more surveys filled out, more cash generated and more entries into drawing, etc.

B. Your "profile" which determines the number and type of invitations you get. A single person in an apartment has a different profile than a couple with two children in a house. Every profile will get invitations. Be honest with your profile. It is a variable. Some surveys are very general, but others are very specific. For example, a company may want to get the opinions of men between the ages of 25-45 on various types of shaving cream - a women won't be selected to participate in this survey. Usually, I get more invitations than I can fill out in a day. I pick out the ones that I think will be the most lucrative and/or the most interesting.

C. The amount of time you spend participating in surveys, focus groups, etc. makes a big difference in your success. You do not have to fill out a particular survey, but I encourage you to fill out every survey you have time for. Make time to fill out surveys. The more time you put in, the more revenue potential you create.

D. How lucky you are when it comes to drawings, raffles, and sweepstakes. There are surveys that pay immediately for your opinions and there are surveys that give you an entry into a drawing after filling out a survey. Sometimes you get a cash incentive and an entry. I fill out both kinds of survey rewards and encourage you to do the same. It is great when I win a drawing - the amount of the check is usually bigger and it has that element of surprise when an unexpected check comes in the mail!

I have found the Survey-Taking Business interesting and lucrative. My opinions have influenced products and commercials.
